1. About this policy
Lyrix Studios (“we,” “us”) publishes Reclaim (the “App”), a personal tracker for steps, routes, workouts, nutrition, weight, supplements and habits, including habits you want to build or quit. This policy explains what the App stores, when information leaves your device, and the choices you have. Questions or privacy requests: [email protected].
2. The short version
- Reclaim does not require an account, and your records are stored on your device.
- We do not sell your information, and your records are never used for advertising.
- The App contains no analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Information leaves your device only when you use a feature that needs it: optional AI assistance, maps and weather, ads, purchases, or a backup or image you choose to share.
3. Information stored on your device
Everything you enter stays in the App’s local storage on your phone, including:
- Habits you are quitting, reducing or building: quit and start dates, taper steps, relapse and progress entries, optional costs used to estimate money saved, savings goals, and craving logs (time, intensity, what helped, and any note you add).
- Good-habit logs, such as water, walks, sleep, reading, mindfulness and produce servings.
- Weight entries and goals; food entries, saved foods and meals, and nutrition targets; supplement schedules and dose history.
- Workouts, routines, exercise notes and lift records.
- Daily step totals and walking-time intervals, and routes you record, including their GPS points.
- Your settings and preferences.
If you set an app-lock PIN, it is verified with secure device storage and is never included in backups. Some records from earlier versions of the App, such as older medical logs, may remain in local storage and backups, but are not displayed or updated.
4. Permissions
- Physical activity: counts steps with your phone’s sensors, only if you turn step tracking on.
- Location: shows your position on the Routes map while it is open. When you start recording a route, location continues in the background until you pause or finish it. Location is not used at any other time.
- Camera and photos: used only when you choose to photograph or pick a food or supplement label.
- Notifications: reminders you set, workout rest timers and route mile alerts. These are scheduled on your device.
5. Home-screen widget and shared images
Widget: if you add the Reclaim widget, it shows your featured quit tracker’s name, day count, money saved and next milestone, and today’s steps and estimated calories, on your home screen, and on a cover or lock screen if your phone shows widgets there. Anyone who can see your screen can see it. You can set a discreet display name for any tracker, or remove the widget at any time. The widget reads only data already on your device.
Milestone images: the share feature creates an image on your device showing only what the preview shows. Money saved is hidden unless you turn it on. The image goes only to the app you choose in your phone’s share menu.
6. Backups
You can export a backup file of your records and settings, and you choose where it is saved or shared. Backups can contain sensitive health and wellness information, so store them somewhere you trust. Restoring a backup replaces the data in that copy of the App.
7. When information leaves your device
Optional AI assistance
Some features can use AI to save you typing. They run only when you tap them, and only the content listed below is sent:
- Food logging: a food description you type, or a nutrition-label photo you take or choose.
- Supplement labels: the cropped Supplement Facts photo you choose.
- Fruit and vegetable suggestions: the food entries you select (name, serving and amount).
- Training-week planner: the days, session length, experience level, equipment and muscle focus you pick, plus the names of built-in exercises. Your workout history, weights and saved routines are not sent.
This content is sent through a Lyrix Studios relay, hosted on Cloudflare, to OpenAI, which returns a draft for you to review before anything is saved. The relay checks that requests come from a genuine Google Play install using Google Play Integrity, and uses an identifier derived from your IP address to limit abuse. We use these requests only to provide the feature and to prevent abuse.
Maps and weather
Route maps load map tiles from Stadia Maps for the area you are viewing. If the Routes section is on and you have allowed location, an approximate location is sent to the U.S. National Weather Service for an hourly forecast, where one is available, while Home or Routes is open. Reclaim does not ask for location just for weather, and weather is never fetched in the background.
Advertising
Reclaim may show Google AdMob banners on Home, Steps and Nutrition, and a full-screen ad after logging a meal, saving a route or saving a weigh-in. Ad requests ask for non-personalized ads, and Google’s consent form is shown where required. Google may process your IP address, device and advertising identifiers, and ad-interaction and diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Reclaim never sends your tracker records for ad targeting. Test builds show Google test ads.
Purchases
If you buy Remove Ads, Google Play handles the payment. A Lyrix Studios service receives the purchase token to verify it. We never receive your payment details.
App updates
Copies installed from Google Play may check Google Play for available updates.
Each of these providers also receives standard network information, such as your IP address, and handles it under its own privacy policy.
8. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
- We cannot see the records stored on your device.
- We do not build advertising profiles from your records.
9. Health information
Reclaim is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional about any health decisions, including quitting a substance.
10. Children
Reclaim is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Keeping and deleting your information
Your records stay on your device until you delete them in the App, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall it. Backups you saved elsewhere remain under your control. To ask about information processed by our relay or purchase verification, email us.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU/EEA, the UK and California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Because most of your information never reaches us, the quickest way to exercise these rights is in the App itself. For anything else, contact [email protected].
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the App’s data practices change, and revise the effective date above.
